Stories for our Time

Stories for our Time

Project goals and what we hope to achieve:
We are a small, not for profit Liberal Arts school in London. In December 2012 we launched a global competition called Stories for our Time in which we asked contestants to answer the question "What needs to change?". (http://www.libartslondon.co.uk/change/) We received 465 entries from 65 countries. The entries cover a wide range of local issues with global importance and the breadth of the themes addressed exceeded our wildest expectations. Prizes include £300 cash and publication on our website. However, to do justice to the entries we received and to raise awareness of the importance of these stories we would like to exhibit as many as possible of the entries we received in a public space in London. We intend to run the exhibition over two days in the first half of May 2013. See examples of the work we would like to exhibit: http://bit.ly/W6PLds
Why this project is important:
Although we are well acquainted with the issues addressed by most of our contestants, the personal and local nature of the stories they tell made us realise that each voice belongs to a person who felt the need to reach out to us. We want these voices to be heard as the voices of the individuals and communities they come from.
What do you need?:

Anything that will help us make our exhibition bigger, better and louder.

We undertake to promote all exhibition sponsors in all online and printed media relating to the exhibition.

- Space
We are looking for a venue for our exhibition in central London for two to three days. Preferably not smaller than 400 Sq Ft.

- Funding
Any contribution towards the exhibition is welcome. All donations are handled securely via PayPal on our website.

When will this project be carried out?
